Henan Winna Group Industries Co., Ltd., formerly known as Gongyi No.5 Refractories General Factory, was founded in 1968, and is a modernized large-scale professional enterprise mainly engaged in the production of refractories for the ironmaking system. Our company has eight affiliated plants, as well as branches such as Gongyi Winna Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd., Gongyi High-Efficiency Refractories Co., Ltd., Zhengzhou Jianxing High-Tech Furnace Material Co., Ltd. and Luoyang Refsource Industry & Trading Co., Ltd. (a foreign trade company). Henan Winna Group Industries Co., Ltd. established a provincial-level enterprise technology center in 2011--Henan Metallurgical Furnace Engineering and Technology Research Center.

Henan Winna Group Industries Co., Ltd. has a total area of over 300,000 square meters, fixed assets of RMB 150 million, and own working capital of RMB 250 million. It has a total of about 2,000 employees, including over 280 technicians and 85 R&D personnel, and an annual output of over 200,000 tons of refractories of various types, which are widely applied to high-temperature kilns in industries such as metallurgy, building materials, ceramics, petrochemicals and machinery. The products are well sold to over 400 customers in more than 30 provincial-level regions across the country, and are exported to tens of countries and regions such as the United States, Japan, Russia, Holland, India, Brazil, Turkey, Italy, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Mexico.

We have always adhered to the policy of “Survive on Quality, Develop on Science and Technology”. Since 1986, Winna has established an extensive cooperation relationship with Wuhan University of Science and Technology, Wuhan Iron and Steel Design Institute, Luoyang Institute of Refractories Research, Wuhan Institute of Metallurgy and Building Materials, Henan University of Science and Technology, etc., and has relatively strong independent research and development capabilities. Over the years, Winna has successively developed a series of low creep products for blast furnaces and hot blast furnaces, a series of ceramic cups for blast furnaces, microporous molded carbon bricks, sintered microporous aluminum-carbon bricks, Al₂O₃-SiC-C series for molybdenum pre-treatment, mullite cordierite bricks, various types of unshaped refractories, etc. A wide range of products are at the advanced level internationally or at the leading level domestically, and a number of these products have filled the gaps in the domestic market. In 1999, our company passed GB/T 19001-2000-ISO 9001:2000 Quality System Authentication, and is currently a “High-tech Enterprise” in Henan Province. The microporous corundum bricks, high thermal conductivity microporous molded carbon, and new type of Al₂O₃-SiC-C bricks for iron pre-treatment of our company have been granted national technical invention patents.

Since 1986, we have engaged Professor Lin Binyin from Wuhan University of Science and Technology as Chief Engineer, and our technical strength has been continuously improved, forming a research and development team based on well-known refractory experts from Wuhan University of Science and Technology and Henan University of Science and Technology, a kiln design team based on Wuhan Iron and Steel Design and Research Institute, as well as a team of pre-laying and construction experts based on CFMCC, thereby providing a strong guarantee for the production, quality and on-site service of our company. Up to present, Henan Winna Group Industries Co., Ltd. has manufactured and supplied a variety of refractories for over 100 large-scale blast furnaces, hot blast furnaces as well as steel-making systems of modernized iron and steel enterprises such as Baosteel, Anshan Iron & Steel, Wuhan Iron & Steel, Shougang Group, Panzhihua Steel, Ma Steel and Benxi Steel. We have undertaken the design, production and precast block combination of the domes, pipelines, combustion ports, air ports, iron ports, slag ports and ceramic masonry of various large and medium-sized steel mills, which has been highly praised by the customers and we have become an excellent supplier of Baosteel. Our company took the initiative in China to cooperate with Danieli (former Hoogovens Company) in producing red stalagmite bricks for the 3,200 m³ blast furnace of Wuhan Iron & Steel in 1988. In 2001, we manufactured and supplied the refractories for the hot blast furnace of 750 m³ blast furnace of Laigang Group, which was the first in China to adopt the Kalugin Technology from Russia. Winna contributed significantly to the popularization and application of Danieli and Kalugin technologies in China and to the long service life of blast furnaces and hot blast furnaces.
