Microporous corundum bricks are primarily manufactured with electrofused corundum as the main raw material, with special additives and a special production process for achieving microporosity. The performance of the product has reached or exceeded the physical level of the ceramic cup refractories imported from abroad. In 2002, the product passed the appraisal of achievements organized by the Science and Technology Department of Henan Province, being the first of its kind in China, and its performance reached the international advanced level. It applies to parts of large and medium-sized blast furnaces such as ceramic cup, air port, iron port, slag port, etc.
